This is important because in case you do not check your charging system then this will create problem for you in cold and also affect the starting of your car. And you know better that how difficult and irritating this is to face car starting trouble in winter.

Oil and oil filter
The other important thing that you cannot neglect is to change the oil and oil filter on time. You should use highest quality of engine oil in winter because it can protect and make your engine stronger. You can use the engine oil that is recommended to your by car experts and makers.

Inspecting all lights
Lights are one thing that is commonly not care of when starting winter. But these are one of the most important winter precautions for cars. So you have to be sure that all the bulbs are working and in good condition. 

The brake lights and front lights are the most important one. The reason for lights to be in good condition is that you require to switch on these lights for longer period of day and in case there is fog or snow fall then these needs to be perfect condition.

Engine belts
One more thing that you have to inspect carefully is the engine belts. If they are worn out or in not a good condition then you have to replace these belts immediately otherwise they can cause problem and may be you have to stop on road in this cold winter.

Emergency kit
